Taste of the Farm

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 22ND

Come welcome the beginning days of Fall at our inaugural Taste of the Farm fundraising dinner on Saturday, October 22nd, to benefit our scholarship fund for local Appalachian youth.
This will be your first opportunity to hear about our upcoming farm-connected restaurant and meet our new Culinary Director, Seth Wells. Prior to joining us at Farms Work Wonders, Wells was Head Chef at Rose’s Luxury in DC before rising to Culinary Director of Rose’s Restaurant Group.  (Yes, he really did move here, and we could not be more excited!)
“Working directly with our own farm, as well as neighboring farms and producers, is a dream come true and is a complement to my own style of ingredient-driven food,” said Wells. “As I have progressed as a chef, my focus has shifted to doing something greater than solely running a kitchen or cooking food. I’ve wanted to create a positive impact on the industry and the lives of young people exploring their beginnings in the culinary world.”
