Kelly started working as a Junior Crew this past summer. She spent her first few weeks as a STREAM Camp Counselor and loved getting to work alongside other people her age and give back to the younger kids in her community. She is currently a freshman at East Hardy Highschool, where she is part of the band, archery, and track team! Kelly has also been a dancer for the Vostrikov Academy for most of her life and is a passionate artist.

She shares, “I’m an artist as well, it’s something I’ve always loved, and the Wardensville Garden Market has helped me embrace it all, which is something I think is special.
I mainly value my dedication and responsibility when working; when I’m there, I want to keep going and help out as much as I can. I’ve enjoyed being able to push myself and experience so much. I love meeting so many different people and being a part of the projects as a team. The Garden Market means a lot to me, and by working here, I’ve gained many new skills and have improved the skills I had.”

Market Manager Shenae reiterates the impact of Elvira’s presence, “It has been such a joy to work with Elvira! She has been nothing but kind and inviting since my first day. She has a hunger for knowledge that is inspiring and is always looking for ways to grow while also including those around her.”

The Junior Crew bring our mission to life, and make as large of an impact on their mentors as we do on them!

Will you help us grow more than veggies? With your help, we can continue hiring and inspiring more local youth to cultivate their talents and passions into something more while exploring other life-developing skills in our Living Classrooms.

My name is Natalie, I’m one of the original 10 Junior Crew!
